Old Testament Typology

The Old Testament prophets had prophesied and fore-shadowed the coming of Jesus Christ, beginning with Moses and ending with John the Baptist. Through their utterances and dramatizations, they served to reveal the Messiah through what is known as Old Testament typology. The prophecy was ultimately fulfilled by the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus, giving birth to the church in Acts. Old Testament typology played its part perfectly; redemption was fulfilled at last!
